Challenge
In the current situation, I thought it would be beneficial to my students to have me provide tutorials of myself completing a lesson before I submitted it to them. Our district is not teaching live remotely, so being able to create a tutorial with Nimbus has been helpful.
Solution
At first, I used the webcam and screen share option, but for the tutorial, I didn't really need the webcam, so I just narrate the tutorial. Nimbus Note has helped me connect with my students and model my expectations for each assignment.
Results
Based on our district's goals for the current crisis, Nimbus Note helped me connect with students by posting either in Nimbus or via YouTube, which is the platform most students are familiar with. It's difficult to measure, but it gives me piece of mind that I did all I could to help the students learn and progress at this time.
